David Sheskin
Indigo Cats
Over the years a powerful inspiration for my art has been my love of animals — especially cats! I began to paint in acrylics during the mid-1980s producing a series of folk art paintings (among which was Indigo Cats.) which culminated in the publication of a 1993 calendar comprised of 13 of my folk art paintings. I subsequently created an extensive body of art of utilizing the mediums of sculpture, collage and digital technology. All told, more than 200 of my images have been published in magazines, within the format of calendars, note cards and jigsaw puzzles, as well as having been exhibited in both galleries and museums.
